All about me (first blog post)
Hi welcome to my blog! My name is Brooke Magill. I am currently a sophomore at California Baptist University. Throughout my junior years into high school I have always participated in volleyball. There are 6 players on a court who all have an important designated job. I was a setter. This meant I was always towards the net setting up the play for a hitter, either on the right side or left, to go for a kill. The term,"kill", in volleyball refers to the ball hitting the floor before anyone touches it. The other positions on the court are mainly focusing on receiving the ball. These players are called liberos. Volleyball is a great way to stay active, form connections, and develop problem solving skills at a fast pace. Sadly,during my senior year, I fractured my hand in three places and tore a ligament. My possibility of a collegiate career in volleyball was diminished. I was at the risk of getting surgery but thankfully physical therapy did the trick for me. I lost my scholarsh
